Egyptian artist Sherif Mounir denounced on his page on social networking website Facebook a current campaign targeting women who wear the Islamic veil and men who have beards, saying "not all veiled women or bearded men are terrorists." Mounir said the fight should instead be against those who killed Egyptian civilians and soldiers and burned down churches and government facilities. He added that the extremists are those who fuel sedition and panic amongst the Egyptian people. "We should distinguish between the moderate citizens and the terrorists who try to destabilize the country," Mounir said.
