Shouman to Arabstoday: Rumours of my death? No comment

Egyptian actor Mohammed Shouman clarified for Arabstoday the reason behind his long absence from the screen:  “I was absent because no good scripts were offered to me and those that were, were all were weak roles ... but after a long time of searching for a good script, finally I found it with writer Ayman Salama in “Maa Sabk El Esrar” series, starring Ghada Abdel Razi. I  am playing one of the main characters ,  not a marginal one. The series is about ambiguity over a murder. Shouman described that the actors in this series "will not be playing their normal acting roles". Commenting on his silence concerning reported rumours that he had died, Shouman said: “I didn’t comment on the rumour of my death  on purpose. I decided to deal with it by keeping silent”. He added “thanks God, people love me, and they remember me from the tax ads which were the last thing they saw of me on screen”.  Mohammed Shouman has participated in many series’   “Wahed Min El Nas”, “Thon Dastet Ashrar”, “Adrenaline”, “El Sefara Fel Omara” and “Awdet El Nadla”. Two years ago he was a guest of honour in “Ragel We Set Setat” and the sitcom “El Eyada”.
