Lebanese singer Assy Al Helani expressed astonishment over the attempts to involve his name in killing of Egyptian young man Mohamed Bayomi in a cafe at Cairo's Nozha district.
The Egyptian citizen was killed during a clash with the workers in the cafe after the final match of Africa Cup of Nations held on Sunday between Egypt and Cameron.
The Lebanese singer denied his possession of a cafe in Egypt, blaming the journalists who linked his name to the accident. He added that there are reporters publish news without checking them.
He expressed, during an interview with "Arabs Today", frustration for the death of the Egyptian citizen, saying that I knew that the security forces arrested those who committed this crime. He stressed that he will not keep silent towards the attempts to smear his image.
He added that he prepares currently for a party scheduled to be held in Beirut in the Valentine's Day. He revealed that he has a number of activities during the coming period. He added that he prepares for the issuance of his new Album in cooperation with Rotana.
