Syrian actress Raghda Ali has said she does not live in fear for her abducted father’s life, after Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime promised to return him safely home. The popular actress told Arabstoday the government is “directly handling” the search. “We’ve been in constant contact with them, with updates on how the search is going,” she said. "I don't know why anyone would kidnap an elderly man who has memory problems, but I have faith that God will protect him."
