A "serious accident" during a French trial of a cannabis-based painkiller has left one person brain-dead and five hospitalised, Health Minister Marisol Touraine said Friday.
"A serious accident took place during a therapeutic trial near Rennes" in northwestern France, the minister said, adding the trial had been halted and all volunteers taking part recalled.
