A Kiev tax official and another civilian were killed Wednesday in war-torn eastern Ukraine in an apparent violation of the ceasefire, authorities said.
The pair got caught up in an ambush and were killed as they took part in an anti-smuggling operation, said military spokesman Andriy Lysenko. Four soldiers were wounded in the same incident, he told reporters.
