Twenty-four people were killed when Boko Haram fighters opened fire on mourners near the town of Gulak in Adamawa state, northeast Nigeria, a local community leader told AFP on Friday. The attack happened in Kuda village at about 8:00 pm (1900 GMT) on Thursday "killing 24 people and injuring several others", said Maina Ularamu, a former local government chairman in nearby Madagali. |
