The prime minister of Libya's internationally recognised parliament, Abdullah al-Thani, announced his resignation during a live television interview late Tuesday, official news agency LANA reported.
"The Libyan PM Abdullah al-Thani announced... live on air, his resignation" during a talk show on a Libyan TV channel, the news agency said, adding the PM "will officially submit his resignation to the parliament on Sunday".
