North Korea test fired a missile from its east coast on Wednesday morning, South Korea's Defence Ministry said.
A ministry official declined to specify the type of weapon launched, but Japanese and South Korean officials were quoted Tuesday as saying the North was preparing to test a powerful new medium-range missile called a Musudan.
