A 17-year-old Palestinian was shot dead Monday when protesters clashed with Israeli troops in the southern West bank, said police and hospital officials. It was unclear what sparked the clashes near the flashpoint city of Hebron, which have become a near-daily occurence in the latest wave of Palestinian unrest. Two knife attacks against Israelis in Hebron on Monday left two Palestinians shot dead by soldiers. |
