A Palestinian woman attacked Israeli security guards with a knife in the north of the occupied West Bank on Monday before being shot at a checkpoint, Israel's defence ministry said.
Guards fired warning shots after the woman was seen approaching a checkpoint with the weapon. She was shot after refusing to stop, the ministry said, without specifying whether she was wounded or killed.
