Rousseff-allied party to back impeachment

The Progressive Party, allied with the government of Brazil's embattled President Dilma Rousseff, has decided to pull out, and most of its 47 lawmakers will vote for her to be impeached, officials said Tuesday.
"The party decided to withdraw from the base alliance, by majority decision," a spokeswoman for the party told AFP, ahead of an impeachment vote on Sunday.
