South and North Korea have agreed to hold top-level talks Saturday, Seoul's presidential Blue House said, in an apparent bid to stave off a looming military clash.
The officials have agreed to meet at the border truce village of Panmunjon at 6:00pm (0900 GMT), the Blue House spokeswoman told AFP.
