Suspect in custody over fatal shooting of 2 Iowa police officers

Police said Wednesday they have apprehended a 46-year-old white male in the shooting death of two police officers who were "ambushed" in separate attacks in the US state of Iowa early Wednesday. "Scott Michael Greene is in custody," police in the state capital Des Moines said in a statement. A resident of Urbandale, a suburb of Des Moines, the suspect was captured less than two hours after police said they were searching for him. They had cautioned that Greene should be considered armed and dangerous. |
