Yemeni forces backed by Saudi Arabia have seized a northwestern rebel town after crossing over the border from the kingdom following clashes that tested a shaky ceasefire, military officials said Friday.
The troops, who were trained and equipped in Saudi Arabia, captured Harad, about 15 kilometres (nine miles) from the border, on Thursday, supported by warplanes of the Saudi-led coalition, a military official said.
