Facebook profit down 9% at $715m

Facebook said profit in the second quarter dipped from a year ago but posted a big jump in revenues and saw active users approach 1.5 billion.
The world's biggest social network said its profit was $715 million, on revenues that surged 39 percent to $4.04 billion. Monthly active users grew 13 percent from a year ago to 1.49 billion.
