Japanese electronics giant Panasonic said Thursday that its six-month net profit soared 37 percent, as a turnaround plan aimed at fixing its hard-hit finances kicks in.
The Osaka-based firm booked a 111.33 billion yen ($921 million) net profit, while sales ticked up 1.0 percent to 3.76 trillion yen.
