British actor Clive Owen is to make his Broadway debut in Harold Pinter's Old Times, the Roundabout Theatre Company announced Monday.
Douglas Hodge is directing the play, which is to begin preview performances Sept. 17, with an official opening scheduled for Oct. 15.
"In planning our 50th anniversary season it was important to me to include a play by one of the most influential modern dramatists: Harold Pinter," the Roundabout's artistic director Todd Haimes said in a statement. "My first season with Roundabout included Old Times, our first Broadway season opened with The Homecoming and we opened the first Laura Pels Theatre with Moonlight. It is with great joy that we open our 50th season with Harold Pinter, and welcome Clive for his Broadway debut."
Owen can now be seen in the Cinemax series The Knick. His film credits include Shadow Dancer, Sin City, Closer, King Arthur, Gosford Park and Elizabeth.
