George Stephanopoulos extends contract with 'GMA'

George Stephanopoulos signed a new contract with Good Morning America to remain as anchor of the morning news and talk show. The terms of his deal, including contract length and pay, were not revealed. "We expect him to remain with us for many, many years," an ABC News spokeswoman Heather Riley said. The move comes after six months of upheaval at GMA with the departures of Sam Champion and Josh Elliott. Lara Spencer was recently promoted to co-anchor alongside Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts, and Michael Strahan joined the show as co-host.
