
Egyptian Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Salah Helal will deliver on Sunday Egypt's speech during the 39 session of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) conference to be held in the Italian capital Rome during the period between June 6 to 13.
Helal will expound measures carried out by the Egyptian government to combat poverty, curb hunger and upgrade the rural development projects implemented by the ministry in Egyptian villages.
The speech will also tackle efforts exerted by the government to treat malnutrition problems in Egypt and improve the conditions of farmers, especially in Upper Egypt.
The agriculture minister will also discuss the role played by the FAO in supporting the developing countries in the sectors of agriculture and food security so as to fight poverty.
