
The Arab Water Council meeting kicked off here Wednesday under Bahraini Energy Minister Abd al Husayn Mirza.
The talks address water challenges in the region and means of realizing sustainable development.
Egyptian Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Ghazi leads the Egyptian delegation to the meeting.
Arab League Assistant Secretary General Ahmed Ben Helli takes part in the event.
The conferees will review the executive strategy of Arab water security which was ratified in the 2012 Baghdad summit.
The talks will also address means of confronting Israeli pillage of water in the occupied Arab lands.
