
The sixth meeting of the Egyptian-Dutch Advisory Council for Water Management held on Thursday in Luxor under the chairmanship of Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi.
The meeting is being held as part of efforts of the Irrigation Ministry to make optimal use of water in cooperation with the Dutch government.
The two-day meeting is being attended by the head of the council Samia el Gendi, Dutch Ambassador to Egypt Gerard Steeghs along with representatives of the ministries and relevant bodies and the head of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater.
The meeting tackled a host of issues of joint interest along with discussing ways of implementing several future projects, which will be funded by Egypt and the Netherlands, according to a statement issued by the Agriculture Ministry on Thursday.
The meeting also reviewed plans for fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the various areas related to water in Egypt, added the statement.
