The traffic department of the Interior Ministry in the Red Sea decided to block the Safaga-Qena road in both directions after heavy rains and floods hit the road.
Meanwhile, head of Safaga city Hisham Amna said all concerned authorities are on alert due to bad weather, adding that an operations room was formed to follow up the situation.
Also, the traffic department decided to close Quseir-Qeft road due to heavy rains and floods.
