
Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza today paid a visit to Bapco.
Upon arrival, the Minister was welcomed by the Board Chairman Adel Al Moayyed and members of the Board.
Dr. Mirza met the Board of Directors and Executive Management and all the Managers of Bapco, and was updated on Bapco’s key achievements during 2014 and its major projects including the Modernization Project.
He conveyed to the Board the directives of the Cabinet with regard to the energy sector and shared his views on the market environment and outlook and key areas of emphasis for the oil & gas industry.
He also reviewed with board members the challenges facing the industry in the coming years.
The Energy Minister extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the political Leadership for its valued support to the sector. He also thanked the Minister of Finance Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Khalifa for his dedicated efforts in fostering the oil & gas sector.
Following the visit, the Board of Directors held its regular meeting and discussed the items listed on the agenda, and a number of actions were taken during the meeting.
