
The Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Study (DERASAT) will organize a forum on "Small Countries: Security Dynamics in the Middle East region).
The forum will discuss several issues pertinent to the security of small countries, especially GCC countries, in the light of upheavals and events in the Middle East.
DERASAT issued a statement in which it said that numerous speakers will participate in the forum, including regional and international security and military experts in addition to DERASAT's board of trustees chairman Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul-Ghaffar Abdullah on Monday at 9:30 am.
The statement added that " topics of discussion at the forum also include "Small countries in the GCC: Security Impacts" on the theme of which will speak Professor Mitchell A. Belfer the Chairman of International Relations and European Studies from Prague Metropolitan University in Czech Republic also Editor-in-Chief of the central European Magazine on International and Security Studies.
The forum will also discuss the security of small countries under transformations in the Middle East region, including the emergency of small countries in the international order, the threats and challenges facing the security of small countries in the Arabian Gulf region, the options of strategic defence and security alliances in addition to the topic of small countries: Security Dynamics in the Middle East.
