Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Arthur Nazarian and Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Qazanfar Roknabadi underlined that expansion of cooperation, particularly in energy fields, must stand atop the two friendly nations' agenda. Speaking at a meeting with the Iranian diplomat in Beirut on Monday, Nazarian underlined implementation of the already reached accords in the fields of energy and water management with Iranian officials. Roknabadi, for his part, voiced Tehran's enthusiasm for enhancement of energy ties with Lebanon and delivered a written message from Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian inviting his Lebanese counterpart to visit Iran. Iran and Lebanon enjoy cordial relations and have further expanded these ties in recent years. The two sides have exchanged several delegations of high-ranking officials in the last three years.
