Power deficit Friday to hit 1650 MW in Egypt

The electricity observatory at the Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency announced Friday that the expected deficit in production of electricity will reach 1,650 megawatts compared to 2,370 megawatts on Thursday.
Thursday's excessive consumption occurred between 7:15 p.m. to 9:10 p.m., the observatory said.
The maximum consumption of electricity expected today is 21,850 megawatts compared to 26,350 megawatts yesterday.
