
The Vice President of the Republic Hassabu Mohamed Abdal-Rahman has given directives to the Ministries of Oil and Minerals to exert more efforts to increase Sudan production of oil and gold.
This came when he chaired, at the Council of Ministers Tuesday, the meeting of the Higher Committee on Follow-up of the Procedures of Socio-economic Reform.
He revealed that the state relied a lot on the two ministries to drive development velocity forward, praising the efforts of the two ministries to increase and enhance the production.
The Minister of Minerals Ahmed Mohamed Sadiq Al-Karouri explained that the gold production during the first half of the current year exceeded 34 tons produced by the companies and the traditional mining, expecting access of companies during the coming period to work in the field of mining.
The State Minister at the Ministry of Oil Hatim Abual-Gasim , meanwhile, stressed his ministry endeavour to augment oil production rates through intensification and generalization of exploration operations in all oil blocks.
