
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Electricity Abdullah al-Akwa has met with British Minister of State for International Development Alan Duncan.
They discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the electricity field.
In the meeting, al-Akwa reviewed with Duncan the reality of the electrical system and the suffering of people in the country, especially in the hot areas, due to the power outages and the weakness of the power generation as well as the frequent sabotage attacks on power pylons.
Al-Akwa highly valued the role of the British government for achieving the peaceful transition of power in Yemen, which spared Yemen from the ravages of conflict and division.
Duncan confirmed the continuation of support from his country and the international community to Yemen in this critical stage ,especially in the field of developing Yemen's abilities in power production.
