Chinese Meteorological Authority has issued a "yellow degree" weather warning because of fog which has overwhelmed central and eastern Chinese regions today. Fog has reduced visibility to 1000 meters in some parts of the capital Beijing and other regions this morning. The Chinese Meteorological Authority said that fog is expected to overwhelm northern Chinese plains, the Yellow River and central and lower contributories of the Yangtze's and south China. The authority anticipated slight to moderate rain in Xinxiang's northern parts after tomorrow, adding that a cold spell may lead to lowering temperatures by 4 to 8 degrees Celsius in northern and eastern parts of the country from today (Sunday) until next Wednesday.
