Moscow City is likely to see broken clouds and slight flurries of snow Tuesday, Russia’s State Service for Hydrometeorology said in a forecast. Conditions for the formation of icing on the roads and icicles on the roofs will remain unabated during the day. Along with this, the air temperatures will most likely be within the minus 7 C to minus 5 C range, with a possibility of minus 9 C in some districts of the Moscow region. Wind will be mostly blowing from the North at 5 to 10 meters per second. Genuine Russian winter chill is likely to send a reminder to the city overnight to Wednesday when the temperature will sink to minus 16 C to minus 14 C. Some parts of the Moscow region may be as cold as minus 23 C. Throughout the entire period of meteorological observations, March 26 evidenced the coldest weather in 1918 when the temperature of minus 20.3 C was reported. A record warm day occurred in 1973 when the temperature gauges showed minus 23 C.
