Renault has announced its sponsorship of the Culture Award at the inaugural Attitude Magazine Awards. The Culture Award, supported by Renault Twizy, will seek out and acknowledge an outstanding performer from across the creative industries. The winner could be an author, a book, an actor, a theatre production or film, a designer, a piece of design, an artist, a piece of art, a museum, or even an exhibition or event. Key to Renault’s association with the Attitude Awards is the arrival of the Renault Twizy, the first 100% electric urban compact two-seater itself packed full of attitude. It combines technical innovation and stand-out thinking with bold design and unique styling, making it the ideal partner for the Culture Award. Phil York, Renault UK’s Marketing Director, said: “We are extremely pleased to be teaming up with Attitude magazine for the inaugural Attitude Awards and beyond, in what we anticipate will be an enduring and mutually beneficial association. Attitude’s audience is a perfect fit for Renault and, in particular, the Renault Twizy for which this partnership has been created.” Darren Styles, Publishing Director of Attitude and creator of the Attitude Awards, said: “We could not be more pleased to have Renault on board as a long-term partner – it’s a brand known for creativity and design flair and the incredible Renault Twizy, in particular, exhibits a zest for life that will appeal to our readers. Our association begins with the Culture Award, but we have more to reveal in the coming months.” To be presented on the evening of Tuesday 16th October 2012 at an exclusive, invitation-only event at the beautiful One Mayfair, the Attitude Awards will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. All of the winners – Attitude’s very own A-list – will be celebrated in a bumper Awards issue of Attitude, with multiple covers featuring those who are anointed, to be published on Wednesday 17th October. Renault Twizy comes with no road tax, costs only around £1 to fully charge and prices start from £6,690 plus a monthly battery lease cost of £45 including VAT for a 36 month/4,500 miles per year agreement.
