Bentley is set to unveil its Continental 6.0-litre W12 GT Speed in both coupe and convertible guise at the Salon Internationl De L’auto 2014 in Geneva. The show will run from March 6 to 16 at the Geneva Palexpo convention centre. The automaker is also set to debut the new Flying Spur V8, featuring a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine. Two new specifications for Bentley’s flagship Mulsanne will also be introduced, which will offer more advanced, in-car entertainment options, said a statement. Dr Wolfgang Schreiber, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, said: “Making its global debut at the Geneva Show, the new Continental GT Speed is the ultimate expression of the modern Bentley grand tourer. This one car effortlessly combines immense, dramatic levels of performance with the exemplary standards of luxury, individuality and refinement our company is renowned for.” The show will also see the debut of seven distinctive packages for the Continental family. Each option will enable customers to shape the car to their needs by putting an added accent on sporting, comfort or styling features. The deliveries of the new Continental family models will commence in the summer, while deliveries for the new Flying Spur V8 will commence in the spring. The Mulsanne flagship’s new specifications include the comfort specification, which include cosseting headrests, comfortable footrests and soft duck down filled loose cushions; and entertainment specification will transform the rear cabin into a luxurious office or cinema, complete with picnic tables designed for an iPad and wireless keyboard, and an on-board wifi. Further enhancements to the entertainment options include twin, eight-inch LCD headrest screens, incorporating a 20GB hard drive and DVD player, played through a ‘Naim for Bentley’ premium audio system.
