The Camaro is already a menacing looking brute and there are so many tuning packs around which make it even more menacing, that you’re spoiled for choice. SLP is a familiar name in the Camaro tuning business and their Panther is a fine offering. The ‘Panther’ name has some history behind it as it was the name originally given to the ‘Camaro’ back in 1965. There will be four power versions available for purchase: 560-, 585-, 600- and 700hp, with only 45 of the latter being made. The power boost comes courtesy of a Magna Charge TVS 2300 supercharger kit in various states of tune, a new exhaust and a cold-air induction system. The car also gets an uprated suspension package which lowers the car by around 2.5 cm (1 inch), with various other suspension mods available at extra cost. The base price for the ‘Panther’ is €44,600 ($57,000), including the price of the donor car. We think it looks really good, and with the power boost it’s the car it should have always been.
