From the same people that brought us the first images of the BMW i8 Spyder on Friday, come these leaked pictures of the all-new Fisker Atlantic, a mid-size hybrid sedan that’s destined to make its world debut at the New York International Auto Showon Wednesday. Recent spy pictures confirm the legitimacy of these two official photos that afford us our first unmasked view of the car. Previously known under the project codename ‘Nina’, the Atlantic will sit under the $100,000+ Karma taking its place as Fisker’s most affordable model. The exterior design is very similar to the Karma, though the Atlantic is more compact in dimensions while also sporting a more slanted roofline and hidden rear door handles. The only official details we have about the Atlantic’s hybrid powertrain is that it will be Fisker’s first model to utilize BMW’s well received 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine as a range extender, after the two sides signed a deal signed back in 2011. Originally slated to enter production at the former GM plant in Delaware later this year, Fisker recently said that the Atlantic’s market launch has been pushed back for mid-2013.
