Well, if rumors allegedly starting from a “well-connected” senior Toyota executive that spoke with AutoGuide are to be expected, Lexus is already considering doing exactly that. The rumor suggests that Lexus is already preparing a successor to the LFA, an “LFA II,” so to speak, which would boast roughly double the power and double the price as the original LFA. Of course at this time this is nothing more than a claim by a single outlet, but given the attention and sellout success of the LFA, it might not be all that difficult to consider. Should it be true, Lexus would reportedly produce just 100 examples of the car – making it far more exclusive even than the LFA – and with a cost somewhere between $800,000 and $1 million. For now, we’ll put this one down as possible and certainly of interest, but we are hesitant to stamp it is probable without some form of proof beyond claimed rumors. As to when it might arrive, if ever, no word was given – but considering the development time of the original LFA, expect the car to at least be a few years out.
