Ferrari lovers in the US will once again have a chance to drool over the company's newest dream machines at the annual meet in Pebble Beach, near San Francisco, starting Thursday. At this year's event, the Modena, Italy-based maker of high-end sports-cars is debuting for the US market its newest addition to the lineup, the F12 Berlinetta as well as delivering its first "tailor made" model, a made-to-order FF which was purchased and personalized by British golfer Ian Poulter. Poulter's FF comes in a special "sand" tone, triple-layered paint, while Poltrona Frau black leather with tartan inserts (which play on a new apparel collection being designed by the golfer) dominate the car's interior. Poulter will receive his FF during a special evening event, which will see the participation also of the Italian company's chief executive, Amedeo Felisa. Other events at the annual Ferrari feast, held for the company's thousands of customers and collectors - include a special auction by Gooding & Co. In the auction house's catalog collectors can compete for the pleasure of taking home a 365 Daytona Spider, from 1973, and models like the 250 California Spider Competizione, from 1960 as well as the 857 Sport, from 1955, which belonged to pop-art giant Andy Warhol. Prices for these pieces could reach up to 10 million dollars, according to estimates. photo: F12 Berlinetta
