Race the base gets ready for 2012

Race the Base is a unique kind of speed event. It's main goal is to reach out to Canadian citizens in order to raise awareness of the Canadian Forces, while the secondary goal is to support the 4 Wing Morale and Welfare Fund and to raise funds for various related charities.The first Race the Base event took place back in 2010 and the bi-annual gathering of supercars will again meet this August 24-25th at a military base located in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada.Perhaps one of the main attractions will be when a Ferrari Enzo races against a CF-18 Hornet fighter jet. Other competitions will include the 'Standing Mile', 'Ultimate Top Speed Attempt', and even a Solo 'Road Course'.Above all, the event will be a wonderful gathering of some of the world's finest supercars.
