The seventh Commercial and Industrial vehicle Show (Ouest-VUVI) kicked off Tuesday at Mohamed Boudiaf Convention Centre in Oran (432-km west of Algiers), with the participation of nearly sixty international brands. The five-day economic event is intended to "meet a significant professional demand in commercial and industrial vehicles," said the show's manager Abdelkader Rezzoug. Compared to the previous editions, the event this year "is distinguished by a higher number of participating car dealers and firms specializing in related niches, like maintenance, garage equipment, pneumatics and lubricants," he said. The professional show comes as "huge projects are underway, such as the High Plateaus Highway and hospitals."
