Volkswagen's R Line has been extended to the Polo light hatch in Europe. The Polo R Line is positioned above the Polo Match model -- the equivalent of our Comfortline spec -- and the GTI, and features 16-inch alloys, body kit and sports seats. Sadly, VW Australia says it has no plans to add the R Line to the Polo range sold here, which starts at $16,990 and tops out at $28,990 with the GTI. The Golf and Scirocco models sold here are available with the R specification, bringing features like personalised scuff plates, striking 18-inch wheels, paddle shift and rear diffuser. In the case of the Golf, the R spec carries at least $7000 premium.
