A wrong-way vehicle traveled about 5 miles in the outbound lanes of Interstate 55 in Chicago Friday before colliding head-on with another car, police said. Both drivers were hospitalized in serious-to-critical condition but police said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening, the Chicago Tribune reported. Calls started to reach police around 3:07 a.m. CST reporting a sport utility vehicle traveling the wrong way near Kedzie Avenue. The SUV eventually crashed into another vehicle on the ramp that connects the expressway with the southbound lanes of Chicago's Lake Shore Drive. The 23-year-old driver of the SUV faces alcohol-related charges, Illinois State Police said.
