
The Kingdom of Bahrain hosts the First Gulf Political Media Forum organized by the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) on December 23. The Bahrain Public Relations Society President cum Secretary-General of the Forum, Dr. Fahd Al-Shehabi, said that the forum attracts Arab and international media professionals from the Kingdom and abroad. The first session discusses the topic "The Role of the Media in Political Upbringing." The forum also discusses several themes including the role of local press in spreading sound democratic culture, media in political monitoring and the electioneering process, national and Arab legislations and conventions on media freedom, practical obstructions, political diversity and its correlation with media diversity, the role of the media in political upbringing and national cohesion, the digital space and its role in political inclination.
