
Saudi ambassador to Azerbaijan Mosaed bin Ibrahim Alslaim today visited the Azerbaijani government news agency "AzerTAj". During the visit, he met with the Director General Aslan Aslanov. During the meeting, they discussed issues of cooperation between the Azerbaijani news agency and the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) . Aslanov said that the work of the signing of the news exchange agreement between the two agencies entered its final stage, stressing their significant role in the development of the Azerbaijani-Saudi relations. He praised the support of the directors general of the Arab news agencies especially support by the President of the Saudi Press Agency Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein for the nomination of Azerbaijani news agency to host the 16th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia Pacific News Agencies (OANA) in 2016 in Baku. He added that the scheduled meeting between him and the President of the Saudi Press Agency will focus on the issues of cooperation in the framework of the 4th World News Agencies Congress to be held during the period from 17 to 21 November in Riyadh. The Saudi ambassador stressed the need for the development of Saudi-Azerbaijan relations in all fields, including the field of information. He expressed his belief that the agreement to be signed between SPA and AzerTAj will contribute to the strengthening of relations between the two countries in the field of information.
