
The Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior will be launching an initiative titled "Messages from the heart", via the various TV, radio, and social networking sites. The initiative comes in line with the 31st GCC Traffic Week, which will commence after tomorrow, Sunday.
Alia Al Rumaithi, Radio Branch Manager at the Security Media Department, indicated that the initiative coincides with the 31st GCC Traffic Week events and is organized in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC). She added: "As a part of the initiative, awareness messages will be broadcasted via various radio stations across the UAE in three different languages (English, Arabic and Urdu). The awareness messages will be delivered by male and female students aged between 11 and 14 years and were pre-recorded at the Radio Branch studio at the Security Media Department." In conclusion, she noted that the initiative aims at enhancing and promoting the traffic safety culture among parents as well as the various segments of road users.
For her part, Media Expert Joyce Bou Sader, TV Branch Manager, Security Media Department, said: "As a part of the ‘Messages from the heart’ initiative, children will be making a heartfelt address to community members on the need to abide by traffic laws in order to preserve lives". She indicated that the messages will be broadcasted throughout the days of the GCC Traffic Week via TV channels and social networking sites that attract a fairly large audience.
