
Deputy Information Minister Abdo al-Janadi discussed here on Sunday with Russian Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media Alexei Volin media cooperation between the two countries. At the meeting, al-Janadi hailed Russia's position in support of Yemen, as one of the state sponsors of the Gulf initiative. He expressed the Ministry's willingness to enhance its cooperation with Russian Communications and Mass Media Ministry through taking advantage of the Russian technical and programmatic expertise in the radio and television fields, as well as strengthening cooperation between Yemen and Russia Today TV channels. He also indicated to the developments in the national political arena and in the underway war Yemen's has launched against terrorism. For his part, Volin reviewed the significant progress Russia has made in the mass media field, expressing his country's readiness to provide the necessary support to improve technical and programmatic performance in the Yemeni TV channels.
