Saudi Okaz newspaper called for supporting Egypt's efforts to push for Palestinian unity instead of deepening gaps.
In its editorial Saturday, the newspaper pointed out to Sweden's decision to recognize the Palestinian state.
Sweden became the first European Union (EU) country to recognize the Palestinian State, added the newspaper.
The paper further said that Sweden's move is an evidence that there is a change in international stances toward the Palestinian cause.
Meanwhile, Al-Watan Newspaper condemned Israel's practices in the Palestinian territories.
The newspaper said that all Israeli acts are provocative, adding that Israel expands its settlement activity in Palestinian areas.
It added that the ongoing Israeli settlement activities are built under the US sponsorship.
