Vatican places 2 journalists under investigation over leaks scandal

Vatican judicial authorities have launched an investigation into the possible complicity of two Italian journalists "in the offence of divulging confidential news and documents", the Vatican said Wednesday.
The probe comes after journalists Gianluigi Nuzzi and Emiliano Fittipaldi last week published two books detailing corruption and uncontrolled spending by the Vatican, basing their revelations on documents leaked from within the secretive city-state.
