
Retired New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter has been booked as a guest for Thursday's edition of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, NBC said.
Jeter, 40, played the final game of his 20-year career against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park last weekend. The Yankees beat the Red Sox 9-5.
"The Tonight Show will mark Jeter's first late-night talk show appearance following the end of the season," NBC said in a news release.
The baseball icon is expected to reflect on his career and talk about his plans for the future during the interview with Fallon.
