
Bahrain will host the award distribution ceremony for the Arab e-Content Award2013 and the Bahrain e-Content Award 2013 on December 3 under the auspices of President of Supreme Committee of IT and Telecommunications and Deputy Premier HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak, organized by the Bahrain Internet Society (BIS) in cooperation with the E-Government Authority, the World Summit Award (WSA) and the Bahrain Society for IT Companies. The Arab E-Content Award aims to encourage creativity and consolidate inter-Arab mutual cooperation in the field. All contributions of participants shall be assessed by a panel of arbitrators who will choose the winners - in accordance with the standards of the World Summit Award - who will be honoured during a special Arabian ceremony under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa the Deputy Premier and President of the Supreme Committee for IT and Telecommunications. The Bahrain Internet Society Chairman and Head of the Organizing Committee for the Arab e-Content Award2013, Mr. Nawaf Abdul-Rahman, said that the two awards and the announcement of their results are major steps and integrative link of the World Summit Award which is Bahrain's ultimate goal to participate at the international level, enrich the Arab e-Content and place Bahrain on the world map.
