The General Department of Smart Services of the Dubai Police has developed a new app through which customers can get electronic copies of their IDs, driving licence and car registration. The application will also allow individuals to check fines for traffic violations and pay them through the Dubai Police Fine Widget.
In addition to receiving information on traffic transactions and the expiry date of driving licences, the application will assist the police in identifying wanted people.
Colonel Khaled Al Razouki, director of the department, said the new application will allow people to keep smart copies of their IDs, details of their driving licence and the car registration.
Al Razouki added that the new application is an important service provided to the public and comes as part of the Dubai Police's efforts to make all services smart.
Customers can register to the service to obtain a single sign-in (username and password) related to MyID and once they log in, all details regarding their ID cards, documents, the number of the car registered in the person's name and traffic violations will appear. This will come in handy at all times especially when a customer forgets to carry the ID or the driving licence.
